A Monday Morning That Reminded Me Why I Do This

A Monday Morning That Reminded Me Why I Do This

There are some workshops that stay with you long after you've packed away the plants, shells and sand.

Monday was one of those.

I had the pleasure of spending the morning with a wonderful older generation and dementia group, guiding everyone through creating their own miniature beach terrariums. As each person added their layers of sand, shells and plants, every creation became as unique as the person making it.

The room was filled with conversation, laughter and smiles. There was no rush, no pressure, just people enjoying the simple act of creating together.

At Boho Workshops, that's what Reset the Boho Way is all about.

Taking time to slow down, reconnect with nature, spark creativity and enjoy meaningful moments together.

The comments at the end of the workshop are the moments that will stay with me.

"This has been brilliant."

"I love what I've created."

"We can't wait to see you again."

Those words reminded me exactly why I started Boho Workshops.

For a little while, everyone was simply present - creating, chatting, remembering and enjoying the moment. Nature has a wonderful way of helping us reconnect, and creativity opens conversations that sometimes words alone cannot.

If I'm honest, I think I came away feeling just as uplifted as everyone who attended.

Workshops like these remind me that wellbeing doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it begins with a handful of sand, a tiny plant, a shared laugh and the opportunity to create something beautiful with your own hands.

This is what freedom through nature and creativity means to me.

It's creating spaces where people feel welcome, valued and inspired, regardless of age or ability. It's about giving people permission to pause, connect and leave with something they've made and hopefully a smile they'll take home too.

A huge thank you to everyone who welcomed me so warmly on Monday. Your kindness, creativity and enthusiasm made it such a special morning.

The best part?

I'll be back later this year for our festive wreath-making workshop, and after seeing everyone's creativity this week, I already know it's going to be another wonderful morning together. I can't wait to see all those familiar smiling faces again.
